What is the Harford Crisis Center? 

The Harford Crisis Center is a new behavioral health crisis center which will provide 24 hour, 7 day a week crisis care for mental health and addiction issues for children and adults

The Harford Crisis Center is not an emergency response center. If you are having a life threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately.

What services will the Harford Crisis Center provide?

  • Coming Soon- Nov. 2018
    • Mental Health outpatient services
  • Spring, 2019
    • Walk-in mental health and substance use urgent care
    • Crisis residential beds for adults

Why do we need a crisis center?

1 in 5 people suffer from behavioral health issues; two of the most common being anxiety and depression. Our community receives over 5,000 calls a year from people in crisis. 

Knowing how/where to find help is one of the most common barriers to getting care. The goal of the Harford Crisis Center is to provide help to those in need in one convenient location. 

Many admissions to hospitals have an underlying behavioral health issue (mental health and/or substance abuse). If we want people to get better, our community needs critical services that address these specific needs.  

Who will the Harford Crisis Center serve? 

The Harford Crisis Center is here to help with any situation involving behavioral health crisis, and to offer assistance and encouragement to those struggling to overcome substance abuse, isolation, and mental health issues.

The Harford Crisis Center will serve: 

  • Adults age 18 and older
  • Youth and children – assessments and referrals to services

What insurance will the Harford Crisis Center accept? 

No one will be turned away based on insurance.
