Substance Use in the Older Adult Population presented by Gigi Rosenblatt MS, APRN, PMHCNS-BC Administrative Director of Substance Use Services

9/10 12-1 Bel Air Room, Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air.  Harford Memorial Hospial Susquehanna Room.

• Recognize the two general forms of substance use in the older adult population.
• Identify dangers associated with drug and alcohol use in the aging population
• Identify symptoms associated with substance use in the older adult population.
• Appreciate factors that contribute to lack of attention of substance use in the older adult population.

We will have the Sheriff’s Office HOPE trailer on site at UCH that day from 6a-10a by the ED Ambo area. The HOPE trailer is set up like a teenager’s room and you walk through seeing all the places and ways kids hide drugs/alcohol/ paraphernalia. We will also have a Drug Take Back the same day and time.
