Grandparents, caregivers, relatives and professionals are invited to our fourth annual conference dedicated to Kinship Caregivers in Harford County. 

Whether you are a kinship caregiver who has physical and/or legal custody now or expect to in the near future, this conference is designed to provide you with tools and resources to support your journey.  Professionals who encounter kinship caregivers are welcome to join us to become better acquainted with the challenges and support available to caregivers. CEUs for are available for Social Workers and LCPCs.   All other professionals can receive a certificate of attendance.

The conference will feature a keynote address on “Understanding Trauma and Managing Behaviors” by national speaker and trainer, Dr. Tara Doaty.  Additional presentations will address: overcoming grief; the latest information on the short and long term effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and how to build resilience; internet safety and cyberbullying; challenges faced by substance exposed newborns and support for them and their caregivers.
