Depression – Not all wounds are visible

Let’s Talk About Depression and Anxiety – Part II

Join the University of Maryland for a FREE community conversation about the impact of depression and anxiety on men, seniors and those managing chronic disease. The important topic of suicide prevention will be also be discussed. 

This event is open to the public and provides an opportunity to hear from and talk to health care professionals and community leaders.

Guests include:
Retired Baltimore Ravens running back and Super Bowl XXXV champion Jamal Lewis sharing his journey from stardom to falling into the shadows of public opinion, managing depression and thoughts of suicide to redefining himself after the “cheerleaders” in his life disappeared.

Washington D.C. attorney and author Joshua Rogers and Bowie City Councilman Michael Esteve, discussing depression and anxiety and the road to recovery.
