Have you ever had the flu, a cold or an upset stomach? All of these illnesses and conditions make us feel yucky and it’s hard to do the things we enjoy and have fun doing every day. It’s important that you learn how to make your body strong now so it can protect you from the mean and nasty germs that can make us sick all year round!

How can you build a strong body?
You can get strong by being fit. When you’re fit, your body works great and feels awesome! Getting fit is as easy as doing the following things each day:

1. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables
2. Drink plenty of water and milk
3. Limit the time you spend in front of the T.V. and computer- even though you can learn lots of important things you still need to make time to move your body every day!
4. Be active! You can play outside with your friends or family, join a sports team, ride your bike or even jump rope- there are lots of fun ways to move your body!
5. Wash your hands! You need to wash your hands before you eat, after you go to the bathroom, if you cough or sneeze into them or if you have been playing with animals.
